Bus Pass (Bus Permits)

Free travel throughout England (not Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or Channel Islands) is available for those aged 60 and over or of State Pension Age and qualifying disabled people living permanently in the North Hertfordshire district.

All types of permit are free of charge.

Bus Permits 1st April 2008 onwards

Bus permits are valid from 1st April 2008 to 31st March 2013 in general. Some disabled permits may only be valid until 31st March 2011. Concessionary travel is available on local bus services at anytime in Hertfordshire and off-peak services throughout England (not Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or Channel Islands).

Senior Citizen Bus Permit
Men and Women aged over 60 (if born before 5 April 1950) or reached state pension age (if born on or after 6th April 1950) and living permanently within the North Hertfordshire District Council's boundary. See National Bus Concession scheme for details.

Disabled Persons Bus Permit
Disabled persons as described under the Transport Act 2000 and living permanently within the North Hertfordshire DIstrict Council's boundary.
