Making Council Services Accessible
What we are trying to do:
- Make buildings more accessible
- Provide better information
- Create different ways to use our services
North Hertfordshire District Council is working towards making sure that everyone can use all our services.
Access for all
We have commissioned audit reports on all our buildings and where there are access problems we will either put them right or, if this is not possible, we will find a different way to provide the service.
We are trying to make sure that all our Information and forms are clear, easy to read and available in other formats such as Large Print or Audio tapes.
Our Web site is designed to be as easy to use as possible and to provide a different way to get information, register enquiries and even pay bills.
We are able to provide translations of all Council documents upon request and interpreters either over the phone or at meetings with our staff.
