Translation and Transcription

If English is not your first language, the council can provide interpreters at interviews or over the phone to assist you. We can also provide translations of documents and publications on request. The languages available are detailed on the Language list

  • Our Customer Service Centre has hearing induction loops. You can use the T- setting on your hearing aid to enhance sound.
  • We have a TexBox system for receiving and making text phone calls.
  • A British Sign Language Interpreter can also be arranged if you let us know in advance.
  • We can also provide documents in large type, Braille or on audio-tape.
