The major points in his address will be Health Centre development, progress of practice-based commissioning, out-of-hours services, Royston Hospital and any other concerns the Royston and District Committee may have.

This  report by the Community Development Officer takes the Royston and District Committee through the current budget balances (Appendix A), grant applications for the Royston Arts Festival (Appendix B), Barkway Village Hall (Appendix C), the Royston Kite Festival (Appendix D), the Young People of the Year event (Appendix E) and proposed schemes referred from the Area Committee to the North Herts Highways Partnership-Joint Member Panel Meeting on 21 April 2008 (Appendix F).

ROYSTON COMMUNITY SURGERIES

The remaining dates for the Royston Community Surgeries for the Civic Year 2008/2009 are as follows:

  • 2 August 2008 (at Angel Pavement, weather permitting)
  • 4 October 2008 (at Angel Pavement, weather permitting)
  • 6 December 2008
  • 7 February 2009
  • 4 April 2009

The Community Surgeries in August and October 2008 will take place in the open air and run from 10am to 11.30am.  The remaining surgeries will take place in Royston Town Hall and run from 10.30am until 12 noon.  All Royston Councillors have been invited to attend.
