Elections

North Hertfordshire District Council runs elections as required by law. Elections are held in May each year in North Hertfordshire when a third of the Council comes up for election. Other elections include:

• County Councillors for Hertfordshire elected every fourth year
• Parish Council elections which are held every four years
• Parliamentary elections which are called by the Government
• European elections take place in June and are held on a five-year cycle
