The District Council elections are held in May each year in North Hertfordshire when a third of the council comes up for election

County Councillors for Hertfordshire are elected every fourth year

Parish Council elections are held every four years

Parliamentary elections are called by the government

European elections take place in June and are held on a five year cycle
