Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA)
In May 2010 the new government announced that they would abolish CAA. The CAA examined how well councils were working together with other public bodies to meet the needs of the people they serve.

Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA)
Comprehensive Performance Assessment reported on how well a council was performing overall compared to other councils in England. In April 2009 it was replaced by the Comprehensive Area Assessment.
