Why North Hertfordshire?
North Hertfordshire provides a mix of pleasant rural landscapes and attractive market towns and also include the world's first garden city Letchworth. The district's location within the influence of a number of different economies makes it attractive for future investment particularly as the road and rail infrastructure make movement easy in any direction. Proximity to both Luton and Stansted airports also make international movement possible.
The district has some of the best schools in the country. Hitchin Girls School and Hitchin Boys School are internationally renound.
House prices in North Hertfordshire are also significantly lower than the Hertfordshire average making the area a much more attractive environment for a potential workforce.
North Hertfordshire is seeking to attract investment and business from a number of locations from within the UK, overseas but at the same time seeking to retain the existing businesses it currently has. Working with EEDAInvest and Hertfordshire Works (the County's Economic Partnership), the local authority is seeking to attract potential investors to the district.
