Food Hazard Warnings
Food hazard warnings are issued by the Food Standards Agency as a way of letting Local Authorities and consumers know about problems with food and drink. In some cases they provide details of specific actions to be taken, e.g. withdrawal of product from sale.
Food hazard warnings are copied to the Health Protection Agency, Trading Standards Departments and trade organisations to alert them to current food safety concerns.
The more serious food hazard warnings are posted on the Council's website.
