Change of Vehicle Ownership
To assist owners who wish to sell their licensed vehicle to a new owner complete with the existing licence and licence plate, for example upon retirement, an application can be made to change the vehicle ownership. In effect, the new owner is entitled to continue operating that vehicle under its existing licence providing he/she obtains suitable insurance cover. The existing owner forfeits the licence and should they subsequently wish to licence a new vehicle, the vehicle will have to meet all the requirements of the Policy including being wheelchair accessible.
A fee of £170 is payable by the buyer and the following form needs to be completed;
