Herts Youth Games
The Herts Youth Games is a celebration of sport development, seeking to raise the profile of sport, encourage the involvement and development of coaches, leaders and volunteers; and also to promote sporting attitudes of health, fun, fair play and enjoyment of participation.
The aims of the Herts Youth Games are:
•to celebrate youth sport
•to provide competition for young people with sporting potential
•to provide a focus and tangible outcomes for sports development work
•to demonstrate co-operative working between authorities
•to demonstrate and promote the value of sports development

2012 Herts Youth Games
The 2012 games will take place on Sunday 8th July at the Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield. The games are an opportunity for young people to have their first competitive experience in sport. The aim of the games is to link the young people with sports clubs.
The following sports will be involved: Aquathlon (run and swim), Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boccia, Cricket, Football, Hockey and Table Tennis.
With the following sports running as a demo/come and try: Bowls, Cheerleading, Dodgeball and Fencing
Trials and training sessions will start after Easter, so keep an eye on this page for more information.

2011 Herts Youth Games
This years Herts Youth Games took place at the Hertfordshire Sports Village on Saturday 18th June 2011. The following sports were featured at the games:
Aquathlon, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football and Table Tennis.
Team North Herts entered all sports except the cricket.
Team North Herts came 8th overall, winning gold in Athletics and Badminton.
Well done to all players and team managers who took part.
