2011 Open Weekend
22nd-24th July 2011 - One Year to go
The Open weekend is an annual UK-wide celebration that counts down to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and this year we celebrated one year to go to London 2012. The Open Weekend is part of a series of events that will help to showcase the UK’s sports, arts and culture to the rest of the world in preparation for the Olympics.
NHDC’s 2012 Open Weekend took place from 22nd-24th July 2011.
This year a huge range of events took place across North Herts including open days at North Herts Leisure, Hitchin Swim Centre and Royston Leisure Centre, Bat the Ball, Tennis and Wheelchair Basketball in Letchworth Town Centre, free golf taster sessions at Chesfield Downs and Letchworth Golf Club plus much more. The 2011 Open Weekend was fun for all the community to enjoy.
