Details of Simons’ vision for the redevelopment of the Hitchin Churchgate shopping centre and surrounding area were released as part of a formal exhibition on 18th May 2010 through to 5th June 2010 at St Mary's Church and then Hitchin Library.

This exhibition represents Simons’ initial ideas for the Churchgate area. This is not part of a planning application, nor are the plans finalised. Feedback can still be given on these initial proposals, as it is important for Simons to get a better idea of what Hitchin would like to see out of the Churchgate redevelopment, and to formulate proposals which Simons would take forward as part of a planning application.
