Rural Grants Programme
These grants are available only for rural communities: urban communities are not eligible.
The Community Building Refurbishment Fund
The grant funding stream is approximately £25,000 and is aimed at awarding grants between £2,000 to £4,000 for small to medium size revenue improvement projects with a maximum of 50% matched funding.
It is open to applications from Parish Councils and Parish Meetings and Village Halls, community buildings and sports facilities, with up to two years to use grant funds on the intended project.
Evidence of support for such projects from the relevant Parish Council is crucial.
Playground Fund
The grant funding stream is approximately £10,000 and aimed at awarding grants between £1,000 to £2,500 for small playground revenue improvement projects with a maximum 50% matched funding.
Open to applications from Parish Councils, Community Councils & Parish Meetings, with up to two years to use grant funds on the intended project
The Environmental Improvements Fund
The grant funding stream is approximately £15,000 and is aimed at awarding grants of £1,000 for environmental enhancement, cleansing, litter picking and the purchase of associated equipment e.g. grass strimmers.
Grants will not cover projects in existing NHDC or Herts County Council / Highways contract areas.
Available to Parish Councils, Community Councils and Parish Meetings only, with 100% funding to a maximum of £1,000 and no need for match funding.
