Community Cohesion
The 2008 Place Survey
noted how North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) performed against a number of indicators, including satisfaction of residents with NHDC services and community cohesion. The results were compared with the other nine district councils in Hertfordshire as well as our fifteen most closely matched district councils.

The Council's Sports Facilities Strategy
has been produced to identify the current built sport facilities and what provision will be required in the future in order to accommodate forecast changes in our population.
The scope of the Sports Facilities Strategy for North Hertfordshire includes both indoor built sports facilities (swimming pools, sports hall, indoor bowls, health and fitness, and indoor tennis) and specific outdoor built sports facilities including swimming pools, synthetic turf pitches (STPs), and athletics tracks. These incorporate local authority leisure centres, voluntary sector sports clubs, private sector facilities and education sites.
The strategy includes data on the types of sport/physical activities people are participating in and satisfaction levels with sports and leisure facilities.
