Software Governance (Licences)
North Herts District Council run regular checks on Networked Servers, PCs and Laptops to ensure that no unlawful software has been loaded. All software must be loaded by I.T. Services in accordance with Corporate Policy which also covers any visiting software consultants.
Software licences are audited on a regular basis to ensure that the authority have the appropriate amount of licences which is recorded and inspected. Software Licences are purchased and monitored in line with the Federation Against Software Theft 
(F.A.S.T. IiS) regulations.
