Letchworth Museum, Thomans More JMI School and Hillshott Infant School in Letchworth collaborated on 2feet4feet, a website to complement a Year 1 workshop. Developed with a grant from the East of Enland Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, it was put together by Samantha Clarkson, Amanda Young, Lorraine Gould and Janet Holden. The ICT skills were provided by Martin Bazley of ICT4learning.com and it was designed by Surface Impression.
'Hands-on' Learning Workshops
All workshops have been developed to encourage a variety of learning styles based on the National Curriculum and QCA Schemes of Work. They can be taught in the museum or in your classroom.
Children will have the opportunity to handle real and replica objects, try on costumes, make a craft, listen to music, fill in worksheets and take part in role-play.
Workshops last approximately two hours. The education service is very flexible and changes can be made to any workshop to meet special requirements.
