Hitchin market is the largest permanently erected outdoor market in the Southeast.

Every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday there is a general market with a wide range of products on offer - from fruit and vegetables to specialist Afro-Caribbean hair products. On Friday there is an Antiques and Collectors Market which runs alongside the general market.
