Volunteers and Training
Training forms a large part of our preparation for responding to emergencies. We undertake live and tabletop exercises, day and part day courses designed to cover all our main roles and responsibilities. General and role specific training is provided for volunteers during the year.
Training is also offered to NHDC Councillors, Local Parish and Town Councils. We invite representatives from our neighbouring authorities to join our training sessions to promote cross border liaison and knowledge. Training is also provided for key staff through residential courses at the Home Office College known as Easingwold.
