Animal Welfare Licences
The following are the licences that are issued by the Local Authority. Legislation dictates that licences are required for the following activities.
- Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963 including Home Boarding
- Pet Shops Act 1951
- Riding Establishments Act 1964 & 1970
- Breeding of Dogs Act 1973 & 1991
- Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976
- Zoos

In addition to the above, there are standard conditions that apply and these may be added to at the Local Authorities discretion.
