Making A Noise Complaint
Complaints can be made to the Environmental Protection Team using the contact details below. The complainant's name and address will be kept in the strictest confidence. Occasionally, however, the person you have made a complaint about may guess who has contacted the council or may approach you and ask if you have made a complaint.
Please be aware that if we decide to take legal action you may be required to appear in court as a witness.
Complaints which cannot be dealt with by the Environmental Protection team include:
- Traffic Noise - contact Hertfordshire Highways

- Aircraft - fixed wing and helicopters (Civil Aviation Authority), contact Customer Relations at Luton
and Stansted Airports. - Armed Forces activity - please contact your local Armed Forces base. Details can be found by searching for "armed forces" in the Yellow Pages

- General anti-social behaviour will need to be addressed to the Community Safety team who work closely with the Police.
If the complaint is regarding a premises occupied by a housing association tenant, please contact the housing association in the first instance.
