Land Allocations Additional Suggested Sites
In 2008 we published the Land Allocations Issues and Options Paper for consultation. We asked for your views on 159 potential development sites which could help to meet needs and targets for housing, employment and other land uses. We received several thousand representations, which included suggestions for a further 126 sites to be considered.
Between 20 July and 14 September 2009, we held a consultation to find out views on these 126 additional sites. Now the consultation period has finished we are looking at all the comments made to all 285 sites to help decide which ones we think would be the best to allocate for development. There will then be another opportunity for you to comment on the chosen sites, probably in mid 2010.

Sustainability Appraisal
The sites suggested here have been assessed in an independent Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment, carried out by CAG consultants. A summary of their findings is presented alongside each site in the consultation documents, whilst their full report is available below. Due to an error, one site was originally omitted, Site 126, Mile End Farm, London Road, Reed. This is included separately as an addendum.
