Town Centre Strategies
The Local Development Framework also includes a number of town centre strategies. Town Centre Strategies have been prepared for each of the district’s four towns. The strategies for Hitchin and Baldock were in preparation prior to the Local Development Framework system being introduced, so do not technically form part of the Local Development Framework. Both the Hitchin and Baldock Town Centre Strategies are adopted as the Council’s Statement of Policy. The Strategies for Letchworth Garden City and Royston Town Centre form part of Local Development Framework and are adopted as supplementary planning documents (SPD).
