On-street recycling

To make it easier for our residents and visitors to North Herts to recycle, we are trialling on-street recycling facilities in Letchworth Garden City.

You will find bins in the town centre that collect paper and food and drink cans.

If the bins prove a sucess we will roll out the scheme to other town centres in North Herts.

Smoking waste and gum bins

North Hertfordshire District Council will be placing new bins in the main town centres to collect chewing gum and smoking related waste starting with a trial in Letchworth.

The new bins will be attached to walls, fences or lamp posts in high usage areas.

Please use these bins and help keep our streets clean.
