. Furniture Link in Letchworth is a charity which refurbishes and sells unwanted furniture. Furniture Link accepts all types of household furniture including beds, mattresses (must be clean), tables, chairs and sofas (with regulation fire safety labels).
All items can be bought by the general public but if you are on specific benefits you are eligible for a third off the display price.
Items can be collected from you by Furniture Link free of charge on weekdays but there are some restrictions on items that can be accepted e.g. no gas appliances. Alternatively you can deliver items to their showroom, but please call them first to make sure it is an item they can accept. Bulky waste collections
NHDC's bulky waste collection service is £21.00 for the first item then £10.50 per item thereafter. If you are on specific benefits the price is £20.00 for the first item then £5.25 per item thereafter.
For further details or to organise a collection contact Veolia on 0800 3286023. Veolia will send a form for you to list the items to be collected. Once you have returned this form to them along with your payment e.g. cheque, the items will usually be collected from you within seven working days.

form and post to Veolia.

Please note:
- The items need to be present for collection by 7.30am outside your property (not in a garage or shed) and placed well away from any items and material not for collection.
- Divan beds are considered as three items (mattress, divan and head board).
