Collection Information
Your grey waste bin and your brown bin and recycling boxes are collected on alternate weeks.
On your collection day please ensure:
- Your bin/box is out by 7.30am
- Your bin/box is placed at the boundary of your property
- Your grey bin does not have anything in it which could be recycled
- You do not leave any waste at the side of your grey bin
- Any additional items of recycling (paper, glass or cans) are left in containers (not black sacks) next to your recycling boxes
- Your bin lid is closed
Assisted collections
If you are elderly, infirm or have a disability, and cannot put your bins/boxes at the edge of your property, please contact us to discuss the possibility of having an assisted collection on 0800 328 6023.
Missed collections
Before reporting a missed collection, please check if:
- Your bin/box was out by 7.30am
- Your bin/box was on the property boundary
- It was the correct collection day
If the above apply, please call 0800 3286023 (between 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri) as soon as possible. Missed collections must be reported within 2 working days. If you report it before midday, our contractor, Veolia will come back to collect your bin/boxes the same day. If you report it after midday, your bin/boxes will be collected the next working day.
If you do not report your missed collection within 2 working days you will have to wait until your next scheduled collection or take your waste to a Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Please note that we only issue one grey waste bin, two recycling boxes and one brown organic waste bin per household.
