What is a reusable nappy?
Reusable or 'real' nappies are made out of cotton and other materials which can be washed and re-used.
Modern reusable nappies:
- Have no pins
- Do not need to be boiled
- Come in all shapes, sizes, colours and materials
- Are more environmentally friendly (use less resources and save space in landfill sites)
- Can be free of pesticides and other synthetic chemicals
- Are cheaper in the long term (can save families up to £600 in nappy costs for the first baby alone but can be used on the next baby)
Nappy cash back
The Council runs a cash-back scheme
for those who purchase reusable nappies or use a nappy laundering service. You can get £50 towards the cost of one of the above!
We will pay you via BACS rather than cheques so please fill in the BACS form. ![]()
