- When shopping think about how to avoid packaging. e.g. buy loose fruit and vegetables.
- Use a bag for life or reusable shopping bags.
- Buy products in refillable containers e.g. soap, washing up liquid, detergents.
- Avoid single use items such as batteries, razors, cameras, paper plates or plastic cutlery/cups at parties etc.

- Give experiences as presents such as massage vouchers, dinners out, and even your time e.g. for babysitting etc.
- Prepare waste-free lunches e.g. using a reuseable sandwich tub instead of clingfilm or foil to put your sandwiches in and a reuseable drinks bottle. Try to avoid individually packaged items but buy a multi-pack and just put one item in a small reusable container instead.
