There are many recycling points across the District where you can recycle a range of items. Details of what can be recycled and where can be found below:

The items which can be recycled at mixed plastics, cartons and cans banks around North Herts are:

  • Household plastic packaging containers (1.24mb) This document is a PDF file and will open in a new window. You will need Adobe Reader to view it. (Plastic bottles with lids, plastic ready meal trays, margarine tubs with lids, yogurt pots, ice cream tubs, polystyrene food trays, plastic types 1,2,5 and 6)
  • Soup or juice cartons (tetra paks)
  • Cans, tins and aerosols
