Education and Events

Presentations

As part of the Waste Management Team's role in raising awareness on waste reduction and recycling, a Recycling Officer can visit your school to deliver presentations. The talks are designed to be interactive, can be tailored to suit your needs and are free of charge. To request a presentation please contact the Waste Management Team on 01462 474541.

Give and Take events

A Give and Take event is for children to take unwanted items to school such as books, games, CDs, DVDs, toys etc and swap them with each other for other things they want.

We can provide interested schools with advice on how to organise such events. A recycling officer may also be able to come to the school on the event day. For more information contact the recycling officer on 01462 474541 or on service@north-herts.gov.uk This link opens a new message window in your default email program.
