Archaeological walks in North Hertfordshire

The Archaeology Officer has developed a series of walks in North Hertfordshire that have been designed to illustrate the rich and diverse heritage of the district. Most will take around two to three hours at a gentle strolling pace, although some are a little longer.

Walks with the Archaeology Officer

The Archaeology Officer is available to conduct guided walks through parts of the district for parties of up to fifteen people. They can also be tailor-made to cover specific topics, places or audiences.

Any of the self-guided walks listed below can also be booked as guided walks.

Self-guided walks

A number of walks have been designed for individuals, families or groups to guide themselves with the help of a leaflet, giving instructions on the route and brief descriptions of what can be seen along it. They can be downloaded here.
