Sunnyside (Evacustes A Phipson)

Sunnyside is now the generic name of a large council estate built in 1930 to house the occupants of the Queen Street slums, largely demolished that year.

Close by stands this building, Hitchin's pest house or isolation hospital. It later became a pub called The New Found Out, to be renamed The Wishing Well in the 1990s.
