Commercial Team
The Commercial Team comprises three Environmental Health Officers (one of these manages the section), one Enforcement Officer qualified as a specialist in health and safety, and one Technical Support Officer.
For food safety purposes, the district of North Hertfordshire is divided into three geographical areas with each of the EHOs taking the lead on all aspects of food safety enforcement. The EHOs also deal with issues of health and safety in food premises within their designated district.
The Enforcement Officer is responsible for health and safety matters in all non-food local authority enforced premises throughout North Hertfordshire.
The Technical Support Officer works mornings only and deals with the office based work of the division.
