Overgrown Hedges and Verges
Hertfordshire Highways (part of Hertfordshire County Council) is responsible for ensuring that hedges and verges are maintained to ensure safety for road users and pedestrians.
To report an overgrown hedge or grass verge, please contact Hertfordshire County Council at: www.hertsdirect.org/highwayfaults 
. They will be able to investigate your concern and direct you on to the appropriate organisation.
If you have concerns about a neighbour's hedge please read our High Hedges guidance, which sets out the criteria where we are authorised to take action or provide advice as appropriate.
If you believe an overgrown hedge belongs to a property owned by North Hertfordshire Homes, please contact North Hertfordshire Homes directly who will investigate your concern on your behalf, as this may be a breach of the tenancy agreement.
