Home Ownership Schemes

Low cost home ownership schemes can assist those who wish to buy a property but are unable to afford outright ownership.

The main schemes that are available are;

• Shared ownership
• Homebuy

Anyone who wishes to be considered for a low cost ownership scheme must be on the Common Housing Register.

North Hertfordshire District Council run a cash incentive scheme which is a discretionary grant for tenants who have family sized accommodation of at least two bedrooms.
