Bus Pass (Bus Permits)
From 28th March 2011 onwards
The administration of bus permits/concessionary travel has transferred to Hertfordshire County Council from Monday 28th March 2011. Concessionary travel will continue to be available on local bus services at anytime in Hertfordshire and off-peak services throughout England (not Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or Channel Islands).
All enquiries regarding new or existing permits including lost or stolen permits should be referred to Hertfordshire County Council on 0300 123 4050 or www.hertsdirect.org/concessionarytravel

Local Rail Concessions
First Capital Connect offer discounted local rail fares to holders of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire concessionary bus permits on production of their permit. Applies after 10.00am Monday to Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays.
Valid on the following routes between:
Royston through to Hadley Wood (and intermediate stations)
Royston through to Crews Hill (and intermediate stations)
Sandy through to Hadley Wood (and intermediate stations)
Bedfordshire Thameslink route:
Bedford through to Elstree & Borehamwood (and intermediate stations)
