Bus Permits

Free travel throughout England (not Scotland or Wales) for those aged 60 and over and disabled people living permanently in the North Hertfordshire District.

You can get a Bus Permit application form from the Customer Services Centre at Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth, Tel 01462 474000 or e-mail service@north-herts.gov.uk

All types of permit are free of charge.

Bus Permits 1st April 2008 onwards

Bus permits are valid from 1st April 2008 to 31st March 2013 in general. Some disabled permits may only be valid until 31st March 2009. Concessionary travel is available on local bus services at anytime in Hertfordshire and off-peak services in England (not Scotland or Wales).

Over 60's Bus Permit
Men and Women aged over 60 and living permanently within the North Hertfordshire District Council's boundary.

Disabled Persons Bus Permit
Disabled persons as described under the Transport Act 2000 and living permanently within the North Hertfordshire DIstrict Council's boundary.
