If the item you are disposing of is in a good condition and could be reused by someone else consider contacting Furniture Link.

Furniture Link in Letchworth is a small charity which accepts, refurbishes and re-sells furniture.  Furniture Link accepts all types of household furniture including beds, mattresses (must be spotless), tables, chairs and sofas (with relevant fire safety labels).  All items must be in a fairly good condition.  Furniture Link could be a great help to residents who want or need to replace items but don’t have the money to buy new or maybe are looking for something which is a bit different.  Not only will your old furniture potentially help someone else but it also helps to reduce the many usable furniture items ending up in landfill.

All items can be bought by the general public but if you are on specific benefits you will be eligible for discounted prices.

Items can be collected from you by Furniture Link free of charge on weekdays but there are some restrictions on items that can be accepted e.g. no gas appliances, white goods or electrical items.  Alternatively you can deliver items to their showroom but please call them first to make sure it is an item they can accept.  For more details about Furniture Link please contact them on 01462 683800 or visit the Furniture Link This link opens in a new browser window website.

Bulky items are collected in different locations within the district each day:
