North Hertfordshire District Council provides a range of services and support for children and young people.
Services for Young People
The Community Development Team supports the development of youth clubs across the District which are run by other agencies. We also support a range of opportunities for young people to express their views and influence local decision making, such as Youth Question Time, Youth Councils and an annual Youth Conference.

Sports Development: sports courses, clubs and sports grants
The Sports Development service works with local sports clubs and leisure facilities to provide a range of holiday sports courses and after school sports clubs. Throughout the year there are a number of sports festivals and the annual Herts Youth Games. The Sports Development service co-ordinates the passport for excellent scheme and sports grants programme for children and young people. We also provide support to the North Herts Community Sports Network.

Play Development: after school and holiday play opportunities, and the North Herts Play Partnership
The Play Development service supports a range of play projects in different areas of the District, providing after school and holiday play opportunities, and supporting the development of play services. The Play Development service also co-ordinates the North Herts Play Partnership.
