Community Play Programme

The Community Play programme has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund for Childrens Play from 2007/2010.  The programme will develop and deliver play opportunities for children and young people in three areas of the North Herts District:

Purwell, Hitchin:

A new Stay and Play Club has been opened at Purwell Primary School, Hitchin.  Open every Wednesday and Friday, the club provides free play opportunities for children in Purwell aged 4 to 11 years old.  For more information visit the Stay and Play page.

Westbury, Letchworth

A Play Ranger service began in Westbury in January 2008 and runs every Thursday after school.

Burns Road, Royston

A youth / play club for 8 to 12 year olds opened on Tuesday 8th January 2008 at Coombes Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston.  The club operates from 4.30-5.30pm for 8-10 years and 5.30-6.30pm for 11-12 year olds.  The club is free of charge to attend.
