Area Committee Grants may support and provide assistance for the following types of activities:

  • Activities to promote social inclusion
  • Activities to promote Race Equality
  • Activities to support disabled people
  • Heritage improvements
  • Sports Development
  • Promotional and publicity projects
  • Discretionary Rate relief
  • Rent Relief
  • Rural Rate Relief
  • Hardship Relief

Within the above, the following elements may be funded, either in full or in part:

  • Revenue costs (primarily for short term or project-based activities or events)
  • Staffing costs
  • Training/workshops
  • Room hire
  • Insurance
  • Repairs and maintenance costs
  • Travel and transport
  • Publicity and publications
  • Equipment
  • Running costs - heating, lighting
  • Administration costs
  • Activities
  • Events
  • Rents
  • Business Rates
  • Capital costs:
  • Feasibility funding
  • Site and Building work
  • Equipment
