50+ Directory of trade’s people.
Following requests made to North Hertfordshire District Council’s 50+ Team for a directory of trade’s people. The 50+ team in conjunction with the Community Safety Team have produced this booklet for your information.
This booklet lists tradespersons who have replied to our invitation for inclusion, some of whom maybe on our Approved List of Contractors.
Where possible ‘Sole Traders’ have undergone a Criminal Records Bureaux check.
We hope that you find the booklet useful and informative – however we would draw your attention to the following:
- Whilst the tradespersons listed have submitted the requested supporting information no other enquiries have been made by the Council.
- The information in this booklet is only available on the basis that no further recommendations or warranty as to the suitability of the persons listed is to be inferred.
- Users of the services listed enter into a contractual relationship with the tradesperson, and should make their own judgements, particularly in respect of charges and quality of workmanship and materials.
- The Council cannot become involved nor accept any liability in respect of any dispute, which may arise between the user and the tradesperson.
If you are a tenant of North Herts Homes, a Housing Association or other landlord, the services listed in this booklet are not intended to replace your landlord’s statutory obligations to carry out repairs to your property. However, they may be of use should you wish to have any work done which is outside of your landlord’s responsibilities. You must obtain your landlord’s permission prior to any work being carried out which alters or improves your property.
If you decide to use the services of any of the tradespersons listed, we would ask that you complete and return the questionnaire at the back of this booklet. Your opinion of the quality of service you have received will help us to monitor standards and ensure that each tradesperson listed is able to provide a quality service at a reasonable cost.
