Our Service
The Building Control service is a statutory function provided by the Council and is responsible for carrying out the legal obligations and duties of the Council that are associated with the Building Act 1984 and the Building Regulations 2000. Our purpose is to provide a safe, sustainable and functional built environment for the residents and visitors of North Hertfordshire.
The Building Control team has extensive knowledge and experience of construction science and technologies, materials, structural design, fire planning and sustainable building design.
