Background Papers (Evidence Base)

This page contains background papers (or links to them) used in preparing the Local Development Framework.  Hard copies are available on request from the Planning Policy and Projects group, although there is a charge to cover printing costs, which ranges from £5.00 to £100.00 (for the Urban Capacity Study) dependent on the number of maps and colour diagrams involved.

Housing Capacity Study (Halcrow)
This was prepared to estimate how many dwellings the District could accommodate on previously developed land.
August 2003
Housing Capacity Update
This updated the above study in the light of actual completions and planning permissions granted up until 31 March 2006.

This sheet shows the supply of housing land at 31 March 2008 purely from planning permissions.  Please note that there may be additional dwellings built within the next five years that do not currently have permission and thus the figures here are likely to be underestimates.
