Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment
A Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) has been prepared jointly by Stevenage Borough Council and North Hertfordshire District Council. It assesses the amount of land that is available for housing development , with particular emphasis on demonstrating that there is sufficient land available to meet both districts' targets for housing as identified in the East of England Plan.
The inclusion of a site in the SHLAA does not guarantee that planning permission for development will be forthcoming there, nor does the exclusion of a site from the SHLAA imply that a site cannot be developed.
