Statement of Community Involvement

All local planning authorities have to prepare a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).  This sets out how we will involve the community in preparing the Local Development Framework (LDF) and in considering planning applications.

The North Hertfordshire Statement of Community Involvement was formally adopted by the Council on 27 July 2006.

The Statement of Community Involvement forms part of the North Hertfordshire Local Development Framework.  The preparation of Local Development Documents (LDDs) and consultation on planning applications should comply with the Statement of Community Involvement.

Copies of the SCI are also available to view at the District's libraries (Baldock, Hitchin, Knebworth, Letchworth Garden City and Royston) and at the Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City.
