Consultation on Planning Applications

The Council is required by the legislation to notify neighbouring occupiers that an application has been received.  This will usually be carried out by means of a letter.  In some cases it may be necessary to display a site notice.  A press notice will be required for some applications, for example major, listed building and conservation area applications.  Town and Parish Councils, other consultees and interested parties will also need to be consulted at this time.  The Council allows 21 days for comments following notification.  We aim to send out notifications within 5 days of receiving the application.  All representations received will be acknowledged.

Details of planning applications can be viewed on this website.
