West of A1(M) Development

A planning application for 3,600 new homes and associated development on land to the west of the A1(M) at Stevenage has not yet been determined by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

East of England Plan

This regional strategy is very likely to allocate substantial strategic growth in and around Stevenage in the years to 2021.

Milton Keynes & South Midlands Sub-Regional Strategy

This sub-regional strategy, published in 2005, has already allocated substantial growth to the Luton conurbation in the same period.

In all of these cases, the consequences may be substantial development on strategic sites within North Hertfordshire.
