Litigation & General Solicitor/Legal Executive
37 hours per week, Salary Range: £28,926 - £38,110 per annum
This vacancy is to undertake prosecution and litigation work for the Council and other areas of local government law.
The successful applicant will be experienced in:
•Handling varied caseloads of criminal and civil litigation
•Contested and uncontested advocacy
•Drafting pleadings and related documents
•One or more of the other areas of legal work undertaken by the Council including: planning, environmental, housing, licensing, enforcement, employment, traffic and parking work, and administrative law.
This post is designated as a partial home-working post.
In line with national trends the Council is continuing to explore options for sharing legal services with other Hertfordshire Councils and this post may be key in delivering those options.
