Calling Letchworth’s budding entrepreneurs…

PR Date:
Thursday, 7 December 2017 - 2:15pm

Young entrepreneurs in Letchworth from the ages of 11 – 18 are invited to attend an event at Howard Memorial Hall on Tuesday 12 December, to share their ideas for a business project as part of a new youth-led initiative.

The successful idea will be taken forward and the individuals will get the support they need to turn their ideas into a sustainable business, which generates positive benefits for the local community.

The project is being launched by North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC), in partnership with local organisations, including the Letchworth Youth Action. The organisations will lend their expertise to provide support in business planning, training and advice to access funding to get the project off the ground.

Cllr Tony Hunter, NHDC’s Executive Member for Community Engagement said: "The Council and its partners are delighted to be supporting enterprising young people through this scheme. Small ideas can take root and become viable business plans, with the potential to grow into sustainable companies.

"We hope this initiative will give young people in Letchworth the chance to improve their entrepreneurial skills and be part of a community of young people that share ideas and support each other".

The meeting will commence at 6pm on Tuesday 12 December at Howard Memorial Hall, Letchworth. For more information please contact NHDC Communities Officer Graeme Endersby on 01462 474669 or email graeme.endersby@north-herts.gov.uk
