Mia Jaszewska, winner of the 2022 Young Star Award
Mia is a true inspiration raising awareness & supporting young people facing grief. After sadly losing her Dad in 2017, Mia attended Stand-by-me Children's Bereavement Support and used the knowledge she learnt to help other young people facing grief.

Bekah Nicolas, winner of the 2022 Dedication Award
Bekah has gone above and beyond for the community during the past few years, her work at Hitchin Library and with Hertfordshire Libraries has been amazing. Through her hard work and dedication hundreds, if not thousands of people have been inspired by her passion.

Anni Sander, winner of the 2022 Green Award
Anni was presented the award for championing the environment through Plastic Free Hitchin and Hitchin Repair Cafe. Anni has also been involved with Hitchin Reuse Project, which now has more than 5000 members, and she has recently launched the North Herts Nappy Library!

Karen Stephens, winner of the 2022 Caring Award
Karen's hard work in setting up and a menopause support group in Baldock, organising and distributing Christmas hampers over the past several years and being a Butterfly volunteer at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust made her a very worthy winner of this award.

Nick Jemetta, winner of the 2022 Health Award
Nick won the Health Award for championing mental health and raising £10k+ for charity by wearing 100 different fancy dress costumes to work. Nick is an inspiration to the community for destigmatising the conversation around mental health, and now helps others open up about their own mental health.
