North Hertfordshire District Council is looking to recruit a Chef to work at Hitchin Town Hall & North Hertfordshire Museum Café as they expand the catering department to include large functions and multicourse dining.
This post would be suitable for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to oversee the operation of the Catering function at our facility and to provide value for money and quality services for our customers.
As Chef, you will have responsibility for the development and day to day management of the café, in addition to line management responsibilities for staff within the team, as well as launching and expanding events catering within the Town Hall.
You will be a catering professional, with the relevant experience and qualifications as outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification below. This role is suitable for those who are experienced in working within a high-pressure kitchen environment in a Chef or Cook position and for candidates who are looking to move into Kitchen management roles.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and operate a successful catering operation at an up and coming events and conferencing centre.
